Cord Blood Stem Cell Storage

Once we receive the umbilical cord blood

  • We assign a unique bar code to your baby's cord blood and properly label it
  • We will then process the stem cells and prepare them for storage
  • Once successfully stored we will send you confirmation in writing
  • 6 months after your baby is born you will have to repeat the blood tests (as required by MHRA UK guidelines)

What happens if the stem cells are needed for treatment?

  • You contact us and give us the details of your doctor and hospital
  • We will contact them and arrange shipment of the stem cells to the hospital where the treatment will be carried out in a special shipping container for frozen samples (cryoshipper)
