What is Stem Cell Storage?
Umbilical cord stem cell storage is where cord blood (which is rich in stem cells) from your baby's umbilical cord is safely collected at birth, using the collection kit supplied by Future Health, and, under stringent conditions, frozen and stored in purpose built containers.
The collection kit contains everything that is needed to securely transfer the cord blood to our specially built cord blood storage facility. This facility was the first and oldest family UK stem cell storage centre to be fully accredited by the UK MHRA. It is therefore the obvious choice when deciding who should be responsible for your child's stem cell storage.
